This NYC band plays some killer thrash/speed/power metal! The riffs are ripping. The vocals are angry - I'd almost compare them a bit to the vocals of Wrath & Metal Church. They're tight and the songs are well-written. Only the middle song slows down a bit and gets a slight weak. Highly Recommended.

This is a PHENOMENAL demo by a Russian band called Valkyria - Вал'кирия in Russian language (as is their logo). The music is dark & heavy thrash and sounds trapped in 1987 and also has atmosphere with some excellent usage of keyboards!!! Some comparisons......hmmm, Pestilence is an influence. They sound like Dark Millennium before they existed! This is really excellent!!!! Completely original! Highly recommended!! ........and Total cult!!!!

This was the band that Hank Shermann (guitar) formed after Mercyful Fate split up in 1984. You can see why King parted ways with Hank - the songs are commercial rock. At least these are demo versions, so not as polished as the LP's (which suck!). It's decent, and for Mercyful Fate purists who want to hear Hank do some good solo's at least....just ignore the lame music and vocals. It's not that they TOTALLY suck, but it really bothers me that they called themselves "Fate".

I have no logo or picture or ANYTHING for this obscure Swedish band. Just a recording of their 1982 demo. Very NWOBHM in its sound, except the last song which is a Rush-like ballad. But for '82 and being from Sweden, this was rather heavy for its time. And it's rather rare & obscure. So here it is....

An over-looked demo by an under-appreciated band with an unusual band-name. The music simply RIPS!!! We only get 3 songs, but they are mad thrashers with insane riffage, angry vocals, and considering this demo came out in '89 it sounds like '87-era thrash. Great unique stuff and tempo changes. Recommended.

A very very rare demo from a NYC band called Von Hellsing. This is killer ripping power metal that takes its influence from Iron Maiden, Helstar, Metal Church, Savatage, King Diamond & Judas Priest. Heavy riffs, solid & tight playing throughout, great vocal melodies and catchy songs. The demo quality makes it sound really heavy and killer. A total classic.

An absolutely killer cult thrash demo from Toledo band Dethtoll. It's in the same vein as Severe Warning, Incubus (aus&usa), Slayer, Blood Feast, and other great ripping thrash of this era.
